Preparation:
1. Remove the cup rest from the top of the espresso pot by turning it clockwise. Do not use the spouts as a lever.
2. Fill the boiler with cold water. The level should not exceed the opening of the safety valve.
3. Place the funnel insert into the kettle.
4. Fill the funnel insert with ground coffee for Moka without pressing it down. No coffee powder should remain on the edge of the espresso pot.
5. Screw the cup holder back onto the kettle by turning it anti-clockwise and close it firmly, but without overdoing it. Do not use the spouts as a lever.
6. Place the espresso pot on the hob and the cups on the surface under the spouts. If there is a flame, make sure that it does not extend beyond the diameter of the pot. Do not set to the highest setting on induction/electric/glass ceramic hobs.
