With the new ASHI fireplace set, the German design duo kaschkasch has once again proven that even the most everyday object can be clever and elegant and deserves daily recognition. The shape of ASHI is inspired by the swaying reeds that grow in abundance in shallow water. The handle has a similar contour and the stick resembles the strong, hollow stems that have been used for centuries as a material for making baskets. As a practical addition, the wooden handles have a built-in magnet that keeps the set securely on the stand when not in use and turns the fireplace set into a decorative object in your living room. The shovel, broom and poker of the fireplace tools appear to float on the crossbar of the matt powder-coated holder. The tongs are simply placed on top.
