The Maxi Raclette is a set with 4 enamel pans, 4 spatulas and removable grill plates. The set is suitable for four people and is also great to use as a raclette oven. The name raclette comes from the French word racler, which means to scrape. In raclette, the cheese is heated on one side, after which the melted cheese is scraped away. Traditionally, raclette cheese is eaten with potatoes, gherkins and pearl onions. After about 3-4 portions of raclette, a crispy crust appears on the edges of the cutting surface. Cut this away with the sharp side of the raclette knife and serve this crust together with a regular portion of raclette. This is also called the Reigieuse and tastes phenomenal.
