The oval, hand-blown vase made of high-quality crystal glass is surrounded by a network of glass overlays refined with platinum. The glass overlays are applied to the glowing glass in a viscous form. After the vases have cooled and been ground, they are hand-finished with real platinum, which is burned into the glass surface at 560°C.
