With Shun Nagare, kai has created another innovative masterpiece of Japanese blacksmithing. The elegant design, the special material properties and a technically complex manufacturing process make the knife series an absolute luxury class. An artfully designed, radial pattern of the Damascus layers is visible on the highly polished blades. This look, in combination with the grey-black mottled handle, gives the knife an impressive overall appearance. The blades in the series consist of two different types of steel that are combined to form 72 layers of Samascus steel. The complex layering of the two types of steel creates a blade with exceptionally sustainable cutting performance.

• By applying the dual-core process, the steel grades VG-10 + VG-2 are processed into a 72-layer Damascus steel
