This hand-made decanter is characterized by an elegant and complex design. The Amadeo, Mamba and Cornetto decanters have been a permanent and successful part of the RIEDEL decanter collections for years. In 2017, RIEDEL is presenting a new edition of these three decanters, complementing the successfully launched Fatto A Mano glass series, whose characteristic features are the colorful stems. All three decanters have undergone a kind of metamorphosis. In the Fatto A Mano Edition, they are optically blown and have a black-white-black decorative line that further emphasizes the dynamic design. The art of optically blown glass comes from Venice, the cradle of the highest glass art. There are only a few glassblowers left who have mastered this ancient technique. Maximilian RIEDEL was so fascinated by it during his study trip to Murano that he uses this type of glassblowing for exceptional pieces in his collections. RIEDEL recommends Amadeo and Cornetto for more mature wines or champagne. Mamba is ideal for young, more impetuous wines, which particularly benefit from the double decanting function of this decanter. RIEDEL tip: Use glass cleaning beads to remove dirt from the decanter.
