The source of inspiration for these new decanters were elaborately crafted cognac and whiskey bottles, some of them up to 100 years old, which I discovered during a visit to London in one of the trendy fine wine stores. In the design of the Margaux, Macon and Marne decanters, I reinterpreted these impressions for my wine decanters. Form and function form a perfect symbiosis, explains Maximilian J. Riedel of his new creations. These decanters, hand-made from crystal glass, are modern and classic at the same time. RIEDEL tip: Use glass cleaning beads to remove dirt from the decanter.
