The Riesling/Champagne glass is perfect for balancing the high acidity and residual sugar of fruit-forward white wines, and for developing and displaying the complex characteristics of champagne.
In white wines, it helps to balance the fresh characters and high mineral components and to emphasize the wonderful fruit aromas.

Recommended for champagne, prosecco and sparkling wine, this glass allows the rich aromas to unfold. Unlike a flute, the egg-shaped design allows the complex layers to grow and intensify. The larger rim diameter allows them to be released in a way that cannot be achieved with a narrow glass.

This glass was redesigned and revised by Georg Riedel in 2020 to maintain the delicate and important characteristics of the wine despite its smaller size.

This stemless creation is the perfect addition to the original stemless series of three stemless wine cups designed by 10th generation Georg Riedel. To ensure the cups fit comfortably in the drinker's hand, each varietal shape required a series of new prototypes to determine how much the glass could be reduced in size while still retaining the delicate and important characteristics of the wine.
